(Cambridge, MA) -- For fans of spirits, food, and all things local comes the most anticipated event of the fall, the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts’ Local Craft Spirits Festival on Saturday, October 15, 3pm-7pm (rain date: Sunday, October 16, 2016) in Cambridge’s Central Square Cultural District at the Landsdowne Street Quad (between Franklin and Pilgrim Streets), next to University Park. This massive love fest of local goodness is a unique opportunity to taste, discover, socialize, and network with dozens of local distilleries, cideries, meaderies, breweries, artisan beverage brewers, and local food producers, all the while savoring local music and celebrating local spirits! Meet the makers behind the distilled products and artisan craft beverages, participate in cocktail demos, enjoy local food, and help choose Boston’s best local craft mixologist at our Local Craft Cocktail Throwdown competition. Admission is $45 Early Bird/$50 General Admission/$75 VIP. Tickets are available through Eventbrite at localcraftspirits.eventbrite.com.
The Local Craft Spirits Festival features dozens of distilleries, artisan spirits, and brew-makers offering an expansive variety of locally crafted gin, vodka, rum, bourbon, whiskey, and bitters. Of course, there will be lots of local craft beer, mead, cider, unique and interesting artisan beverages, and even locally produced cold-brewed coffee to pair with local food samples galore. Food trucks and local restaurants offer delicious and creative presentations of local food for sale for $6 or less per serving. SBN is launching a Local Craft Cocktail Throwdown where distillers and their mixologists who will vie for bragging rights for Boston’s best Local Craft Cocktail.
Live music, DJ’s, cocktail demos, and a photo booth round up this “spirited” festival!

Local Craft Spirits Festival is affiliated with and is a major annual fundraiser for the Annual Boston Local Food Festival, produced by the Sustainable Business Network, on Sunday, September 18, 2016 on The Greenway. This event is considered New England's largest one-day Farmers' Market and a celebration of local food. The Sustainable Business Network, founded in 1988, aims to support the local food economy and defines “local” as products grown and produced in New England with Massachusetts as the first preference.
