Honoring Prince at the Beat Brasserie

On Wednesday, August 17th, 2016, from 8:00PM to 12:00AM, Beat Brasserie, located in Cambridge’s Harvard Square, presents a musical tribute to the late legend Prince. Having a multitude of musical talents, Prince inspired a generation of music and to honor his impactful career a group of talented performers have absorbed Prince’s spirit into their music to develop this amazing tribute. The evening will feature Beat’s savory food and libations, and moving liveperformances adhering to Prince’s style and substantial influence on music today. As Prince was most known for his extravagant performances on stage as an exuberant singer and multi-instrumentalist, this night of performances is sure to appeal to numerous styles such as funk, rock, R&B, new wave, soul, psychedelic and pop.

Fans won’t want to miss this cutting-edge rendition of Prince’s music, performed live. Farayi Malek and Alexandra Keller will be the voices behind the music, with Robbie Pate doubling on the microphone and the piano. Instrumentals will be played by Ben Paley on the guitar, Neil Patton on the bass, and Eli Cohen on the drums. This group of talented emerging musicians will wow you with their interpretations of Prince’s eclectic tunes.

While enjoying the legendary music, Beat Brasserie will be serving house favorites. Start the night with hors d’oeuvres such as Sweet Chili Baby Back Ribs ($14.50) and Crispy Tuna Spring Rolls ($12.50), or enjoy a full dinner with selections such as the Earthly Delight Life Bowl with Steamed Artisanal Vegetables, Multigrain Pilaf, Tamari Almonds and Soy-Ginger Dressing ($24.50).
